A Have Or Not To Have

Came across an incident today which triggered some thoughts.

Was wondering if it's better to have a first phase of life where most of the things go according to one's wishes; or where things really unexpected happens and the whole status changes. Sometimes, the latter may be thought to be a tougher route but it teaches us to accept and look at things in other perspectives and gives us the courage and strength to move on. The former may or may not be enviable especially when faced with transitions into phases of life.

It's raining here. Will be going to the nearby mall for dinner. Don't exactly like walking that pathway after a heavy rain... it's time for the earthworms to leave their flooded soil. Get goosebumps when I see long pink things wriggling along.. not one, not a handful but more.

What's my dream scene when it rains?

Sipping hot cocoa with marshmallows or whipped cream served in English tea ware while cuddled in a cushioned armchair set upon a cottage patio, surrounded by lush greenery, soaking in the fresh scent of the surroundings. A tea light & twinkle lights will definitely work up that charm too.

oh. dip dark-choc. covered biscuits into cuppa cuppacino -- just the right bit of comfort food. and fresh berries!

the cottage will smell of freshly baked bread.. and the house, outside; will be smelling of fresh flowers and fruits..
there will be a maze to reach this secret enclave.. so it keeps strangers out. hehe
you must play soft lilting jazz!! by light female vocalist of the likes of emi fujitu; lisa ekdahl, madeleine peyroux. nothing like the the presence of men to taint this scantaury. yummy!!

haha. can i be the little poodle or white furball kitten that completes the picture? i'll lie quietly, i'll change the cds for you.. i'll fetch the magazines and fresh milk for you.. i'll pickthe truffles for you.. and i'll look longingly at the soft drizzle outside. i'll even let you tie my fur with pink ribbons.. so long as you let me lie there quietly. i won't make a sound!! even if someone accidently steps on my tail!!

oh dear jan -- to have and to have lost-- is much better than not to have had at all. *hugs* it was tough on you.. but it has bred you nice princessy manners, and a refined air that money can't buy.
and.. the best part is =) you've acknowledged this is the 1st phase of life. many more to come!

of the many experiences that will breed, in us--wisedom; not many are as valuable as this.
