Honours

Can someone tell me what's so great about clinching an academic honours, especially first or second uppers? That so many coys are having it as a prerequisite? Is eliciting an honour one of the definite ingredients in precipitating excellent work performance and attitude? Has it been part of a proven mix in many life cases? (Probably? Some would say? If not, why have coys been having this prerequisite for years...?)

Ok... this is me talking after having scoured through requirements of a number of hiring coys. My academic status upon graduation is still unknown... but I'm kinda exasperated. Am I feeling sore? Hm... if yes... care to help me analyze?
